Family Photos 2008

Well, we finally got our 2008 family pictures taken this weekend. Our colors this year were red and brown. I just take the tripod and my remote and take our own pictures. Dr. D was not exactly cooperative, as you would expect from a 2 year old. But I think we got a couple shots to work with.

Our family tradition is to have a picture taken every year and I display them all together on the wall. I got the idea from DH's Uncle D. The favorite wall to look at at their house is their family picture wall, which has a picture from every year. I LOVE it! I knew when I saw that display that I wanted the same thing at my house. I started out with all 8 by 10's, but now that we have 14 pictures up there, I went to smaller sizes. I actually have the frame up for next year's photo too, so I won't have to re-arrange until 2010. Hey, I should put a picture of our family photo wall on here. I'll save that for later. Here are a couple of my favorite shots. I'll put more on later, but I had to post because it's been forever since I've posted!!

Here's our lovely daughters posing by the yellow wall:

Fun Facts

Did you know~

* a solidly frozen pizza can shatter when dropped onto the kitchen floor? (the pepperonis stay intact, though)

* one of my daughters has a Jewish friend named "Christian"

* helium balloons, even though they don't float off the ground any more on their own, when caught in a wind CAN float up into the utility wires, causing the City to have to come get them out? (you probably don't want to tell them it was your balloons, though)

* when you have a daunting task in front of you, why is it that usually when you finally buckle down and finish it, you tell yourself, "That wasn't so bad! Why did I add agony by putting it off in the first place???"

* Our baby bean is about 3-4 inches long right now! Cute!

*It only took about $40 to fill my SUBURBAN!!! Woohoo!!!!

OK, I guess I'm really reaching for more facts now, so I'll leave it at that. :)

A dresser

Well, Blondie's dresser completely fell apart today so I am looking for a new (used) one for her. Before I scout Goodwill and Craigslist, I thought I'd ask here and see if anyone is getting rid of a dresser for free or cheap. So...if you or someone you know is trying to unload an old dresser post a comment or call me. Thanks a bunch!!!
Also, I am trying to sell a huge wood Barbie house (I'll post a pic later) for $30. Anyone? :)

Yes, another Boutique!!

I know, it's crazy. But my signs and blocks will be in another boutique, this one closer to home. It's tomorrow, or Saturday the 6th, near the Mesa Arts Center on Main or MacDonald or something like that. Supercoolmom's stuff will be there and a couple other friends. It's from 10-4, so stop by and hang out if you can. See ya!

Christmas Playlist is up!

I've updated to my Christmas playlist. I LOVE Christmas songs, and these are my top favorites. I'm sure I'm leaving some good ones out, so what else should I include? Leave a comment with your favorites so I can really make my playlist rock!

Beloved Apostle

Elder Joseph B. Wirthlin of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles passed away night before last (which means Monday night) at the age of 91. He worked until Thanksgiving, and passed away with his eldest daughter beside him. What a great man, we will miss him but are glad he is at rest. His last Conference talk was one of my favorite talks, "Come what may-and love it". Now, we'll wait and see who will fill the vacant spot...
