OK, I have to record a couple of things for posterity. :)
Yesterday, there was this exchange between Dr. D and Cake, his little female buddy that I was tending.
The two were sitting on the couch, Dr. D holding a toy. Cake reached over and punched the toy, then took off running. Dr. D (hurt look on face) chased after her calling, "Cake! I thought you loved me! I thought you loved me!". Cake stopped, turned to face him (with a coy smile) and said, "Dr. D, I'm gonna marry you." His mouth twisted to the side in a cute little smile and with a slight shrug he said, "okay". They were friends again after that. :)
On Sunday we were remembering when we had just moved into our house and Sweet G had a great primary teacher, apparently, because one day we were trying to get her to guess that Grandma and Grandpa were coming over. We said, "Sweet G, someone is coming to see you! Someone who loves you very much! Can you guess who it is?" She answered, "Sister Miles??" :)

Our new house!!
Most of our family and friends know we are moving. Here are some pictures of the home we are going to be renting. We can't believe our good fortune in finding this house. It is the house that belongs to the parents of our good friend. Our new landlords are beyond awesome! What a blessing to have found them and this house.
Below is the front of the house. Sweet G is giving the basketball hoop a spin. Score!
This is our front porch area.
A bad picture of the kitchen. The sunlight is coming in so that we can't see the sink area to the left.
All of these pics were taken with my phone, so they are ok considering that.
This is the laundry room.
The dining area:
Living room:
Front room:
This is going to be Blondie and Little miss' room. We are going to paint it an aqua blue. The mirrored closet doors are huge! We should install a bar so they can do some ballet in there...
The little boys room. It even has a baseball hanging on the fan chain, so Dr. D is thrilled! He wants a red curtain. Good taste, that boy! :) The closets are all really good size.
The older girls room. They decided to paint it purple. It has a window seat and a cool shelf running around the top of the room.
The master bedroom.
The sinks in the master bath. Both bathrooms have 2 sinks. Heaven!!
This is the tub in the master bath. It looks awesome, doesn't it?
There you have it! It feels so big empty, and I know our stuff will make it seem so much smaller but I can't wait to move in and decorate!! :)

Fall touches around the house
Here is some of the Fall decor I've put up. It's the only "Fall" thing around here in AZ. No leaves turning color; the weather is starting to cool off, but some days it shoots back up into the low 90's! What is that all about? Anyway, a little decorating helps get in the Fall mood, even if not much has changed outdoors.
The top of the TV armoire has some little zebra pumpkins on candlesticks. The stripes start out green and they slowly turn orange as the pumpkins ripen. I LOVE them!!
Here is my mantle sporting the fabric pumpkins I made a couple years ago.
What have you done to bring Fall to your house?

Happy Anniversary to us!
My sweetie pie and I have just celebrated our 16th wedding anniversary!!! I still think he's a burning hunk of Who, and he still thinks I'm as sweet as cherry pie, so I think we are on the right track! ;)
Here we are celebrating our special day. We went out shooting some clay pigeons. I actually hit a few! (he hit about as many as I missed, which is a LOT.)
Funny story:
For mutual on Wednesday night, Sweet G had a cake decorating lesson. She made us this wonderful cake:
Well, luckily I took a picture of it Wednesday night, because on Thursday morning it was gone. Yep, gone. I had left it on the counter overnight, and went to check it in the morning and couldn't find it anywhere. Sweet G got up, and I asked her about it and neither of us knew where it could be. I figured it got thrown out or something, because we had just decided to go off of sugar. So, we kind of forgot about it...until Friday. Little Miss lost something in her room and decided to look under the crib, and she found...the CAKE! Dr. Destructo admitted to having taken the cake and he hid it under the crib. There were little finger marks all over it. I guess he figured he needed to get his sugar in somehow! LOL What a turkey!! That solved the case of the missing cake...
My mom gave us this vintage card-
It's so cool! I love old stuff like this.
I look forward to many more happy anniversaries with my DH. Love you, honey!!!

Halloween
I am way behind on my blog posting because we got a virus on our old computer that we just couldn't fix. So, luckily we had this other computer sitting around that is a bit of an upgrade for us (thank you, Naunee!) and just got around to hooking it up. Then I couldn't find the camera download cord, you know how that goes.
I have tons of Halloween pictures to share, so beware, this post contains mucho pictures!! :)
First, we have our little Clown and Cowgirl:
A special visitor from Kansas; Dorothy-
Little Goth Girl, (I wonder where she gets this?) and her big sister:
And just in case we need some last minute insurance, we have our good friend, Flo:
Just for fun, we'll throw in a hairy little baby:
For our Halloween dinner, we had "Monster Mash" (an idea I took from a cousin's blog-so cute!) and brain jello. We also had some "Cemetery Lawn" (salad) to go with it.
Super fun! The kids loved it all.
For the monster mash: you have to make the meatloaf to take up the whole pan, like this, and then put the mashed potatoes on top after it's cooked. The fingernails are onion pieces. I put some BBQ sauce on the "hand" part for extra yumminess, and it looked cool, too.
Some pictures of our Jack-o-lanterns:
Teeny Bopper did a little pumpkin family instead of carving a big one.
I think that does it for Halloween pictures!! Until next year...
