Getting to know us TAG

Well, I've been tagged! A getting to know DH and I tag, so here goes. I hope you discover some juicy details I know you are looking for! :)


What are your names/nicknames? Well, this is a little personal. But I'll answer anyway, despite my desire to remain in codename. DH calls me Salsa and Sal. Occasionally the traditional names slip out like "Sweetie". I call him Pablo and my Hunk of Burning Who. We don't have a ton of nicknames for each other now that I think about it.

How long have you been married? 13 years now!! We are getting old!

How long did you date? Well...We actually went on one date before we were engaged. So, technically we dated for about 3 hours. heehee

How old are both of you? In our early 30's.

Who said I love you first? I can't really remember. I'm pretty sure it was DH.

Who's taller? This is a toughie. But DH has me by a couple maybe 9 or so inches! This is a funny question for everyone who knows me and my "vertically challenged" state. But he likes me this way so that's all that matters.

Whose temper is worse? Sadly we are both secretly red-headed step children at times. He's louder, does that count?

Who does the laundry? Mostly me, but the two oldest girls have recently been assigned regular laundry duties as well which is GREAT. If needed DH will throw a load or two in, too.

Who does the dishes? That would be me.

Who sleeps on the right side of the bed?
I guess I do if it is the right side when laying down. It is closest to the door since I get up with fussy kids at night. (except for the very occasional time when I am just too tired and I slap DH on the arm and mumble "your turn".)

Who pays the bills? I can't answer that right now.

Who mows the lawn? The neighbor boy that we pay $10 to mow it.

Who cooks dinner? hahahahahahehehehehehe Oh, sorry. That's a good one! I think in 13 plus years of marriage DH has made dinner maybe three times. That's one job that he just has no interest in so what can a girl do (except make dinner herself). I'll accept that job.

Who drives when you're together? Usually DH. We both prefer it. He only wants me to drive if he is too involved in a book to leave it home or too tired to stay awake. He always drives on trips, which is great because I am a very sleepy driver.

Who's the first to admit when they're wrong? I think I have to say DH is very quick to admit he is wrong and to apologize for anything.

Who proposed? We are a rather old-fashioned pair. Of course DH did it! In the temple, no less. It was wonderful.

Who has more friends? I think we are probably equal in that because we have the same friends in our ward, I have online friends and he has work friends.

Who has more siblings? Definitely DH.

Who wears the pants in the family?
He does, when I give him permission. :)
