1. I left "real life" behind. Yep. Right here at my house, and believe me it was here waiting for me when we got back.
2. My hubby went with us. Sometimes he has to stay behind and work, but he came this time and it was great!
3. We took 2 cars. What does that spell? H.E.A.V.E.N. We were able to spread out, there was NO fighting, no crying or whining. Oh my, it was the best. ever! I don't know if we will be able to do this again, but I hope so.
and 4. My bff sister from another mother was there with me. We haven't seen each other in a YEAR. A whole YEAR! That is a crime. But, we were able to pick up where we left off as usual. The only problem is that when I leave her i go into mourning for a while.
What did we do, you ask, down in Mexico? Well.... I didn't take many pictures, but I will steal some from my lovely daughter.
The view of the back yard from the back door. It is child paradise!
The corn field and very tall swing. The guys use a rope to swing the kids on this swing, and let me assure you, it takes them to new heights! The cable swing, aka zip line is off to the right and we didn't get pics of that this time.
The teeter totter. I am scared of this thing, it can be quite dangerous. But fun at the same time. The basketball court is right in front of it.
The kids favorite spot: trampoline.
The tire swings. These are so fun!
The shady hill under the mulberry tree.
My favorite place to sit, the porch swing. You can see the big picture window that is on the back of the house.
The patio, where we always have family bbq's. I love those!
The view of the house from the back. I miss it already!
I don't think it got above the 80's the whole time we were there!! (temperature, that is)
C (my sis in law) and I hung out. We painted toes. We shared massages and facials. We sewed wristlets. We made (and ate) jalapeno poppers. I shared my healthy fudge with her and she loved it. We had a photo shoot (see previous post). We shopped for jewelry at a local lady's house down there that is SO talented at making jewelry. We had the best brownie/cake thing we have EVER had at the jewelry lady's house. We had a double date at a local restaurant. Yum! We played our piano duets and sang together. We dreamed, schemed, and had a grand ole time!!
Oh, and I also played with my kids a little, too. :) They had cousins there, so everyone was happy.
The husbands along with the cousins and my older kids all went to Basaseachi, a gorgeous waterfall further down in Mexico. The pictures I will share here are from that trip. I stayed behind with C, grandma and the little kids. Next year we are planning to take our whole family to the falls.

Now, we are home. I am glad and not at the same time. It was such a great departure from reality. Well, back to life and getting ready for school to start!
