Family Night Lesson

Little Miss had the lesson for FHE this week.  She chose a story from the Friend magazine to use for her lesson.  It was about a mom who was canning apricots and a jar broke and cut her hand very badly.  The children had to really pitch in to help the mom, and they learned all kinds of new skills and had a great time doing all the work.
After she read the story, DH said, "Maybe mom needs to cut her hand so you girls can learn to do all kinds of things like in the story."  Little Miss emphatically said, "No way!  I don't want to do all that work!  The lesson is that mom can NEVER can apricots!"

Hmm.  Well, I don't like apricots anyway.  :)
