Pumpkins!

OK, I have officially decided (almost officially) that I want to collect pumpkins! After my trip to Hobby Lobby I have fallen head-over-heels for all the cute seasonal pumpkins. I loved them before, don't get me wrong, but now... I feel a NEED for them. Too bad I am broke and won't be buying any. That's ok, our love can go on anyway. Maybe I can sneak in buying one this year to kick off my collection. :)
Actually, I decided to kick it off with some homemade fabric pumpkins copied from this blog. She used some beautiful brocades on hers, but I just used cotton on mine. They are still cute and cost me under $4 to make them all. (I still have a little fabric left, too)
I think my obsession for pumpkins may turn to snowmen in December. I guess I'm just fickle that way. Not that I won't still love pumpkins, but who can resist a cute snowman? Snowmen and snowflakes are my favorite icons of winter/Christmas time. Anyone else feel this way? What are your fall/winter favorites?

Good cheap idea Sally. I just like fall colors in general. And for winter I also like the snowman theme. Good luck on your collection.

I love those pumpkins. I might just have to make a few myself. Very darling. I love snowmen, too, because you can leave them up clear until it's time to decorate for Valentine's Day. My favorite Christmas decorations, though, are my nativities. I think at last count I had more than 40 - yes, a little obsessive and John has warned me that I don't have any more flat space so I can't buy any more this year. Haha!!!! Little does he know, they also come in the kind that hang on the wall or on the Christmas tree.... Many, many options!

Love the pumpkins! I too share the same issue with pumpkins, snowflakes, and snowmen. I do have 2 additional though - For Fall I LOVE fall leaves - multicolored beauties. I'm a sucker for garlands and stamps, etc (as you well know). For Christmas I love nativities. I don't think I could have enough of them. My favorite is the Willow Tree.

I love the pumpkins! They'll be great for display all the way through Thanksgiving! I'll have to show you mine from super sat years ago, so you can do a few of them too.
