My decision

Well, I have made a difficult decision. I have decided that since I haven't sat down to scrapbook or make a card in MONTHS, and I don't see myself doing it in the near future either, (new baby coming and all) I am going to put my supplies away (gulp) and get rid of my desk. My desk that almost always looks like this: (too cluttered to work on anyway)

Now, when I say put my supplies away, I don't mean far away, just not out on my desk. Maybe in a closet or something. I'll figure that out. But my kids on the other hand have their art work out 24-7. ALL over the kitchen table. So it always looks like this:

Which I don't mind except for the fact that we have to clear the table 3 times a day to eat on it. And clear it again so they can do their homework. (Also note that Dr. D has no paper under his pencil and stencil there. There is a lot of marker and paint on the table now that won't come off, except with a good sanding.) You see where I'm going with this? I'm going to put a table in the spot where my desk is and THAT will be where the kids will do their art. So my table will stay clear (mostly) and they will have a spot to go crazy with crafts.
I'm excited about this decision, actually, because I think it will take some headache out of my life everyday. And anything that does that is worth examination. :)

Although this is a hard decision I think it is a good one. Good luck with your rearranging!

I'm glad to see your kitchen table and desk look like mine - with similar projects. Makes me feel a little normal. Good luck with the switch.

I love that idea! It'll be much easier to draw and make Birthday cards! I didn't even know ya had that idea! ;)
