Thoughts from Time Out

In cleaning out my craft room today, I came across a little notebook that I had at Time Out for Women a few years ago.  I don't need to keep the whole notebook but wanted to record some of the thoughts I wrote in it.

  • The Savior is the one who makes it possible for everything to be OK-sometime.  He is also the one who carries us in the meantime.

  • Grace is not the light at the end of the tunnel - it's the power source that gets us THROUGH the tunnel.  It's not a jet pack for a boost of power, it's a constant energy source.  Grace is not limited to AFTER all we can do.  We receive it before, during and after.

  • It's after all WE can do.  WE = Jesus + me.  Jesus doesn't make up the difference, he makes all the difference.

  • We will all go back to God.  The question is:  how long will we stay there?  We must use the Atonement not just to be cleansed, but to be changed.  So we can not only go home, but FEEL at home there.

  • We are not earning heaven, we are preparing for it.

  • Get your hopes up!  If you never change your mind, why have one?   :)

  • God is pleased with every sincere offering we make.  It's the offerer not the offering.

  • Mediocre means halfway up.  Don't beat yourself up!  We have to pass through the halfway point on our way up.  At least we aren't on the bottom refusing to go up.
